  helped to give this race a boost a few years ago. The Saturday at-track p=

  is legenday=2C an opportunity to get out your vintage duds=2C and I can c=

  a pretty cool FOT party at Casa Babcock.=20

Then on the start of the Group 3 race my car pulled =0A=
    me down the inside
line to pass a bunch of guys in turn one=2C then I =0A=
    passed the start/finish
line in third overall a couple times. Running way =0A=
    up there in a SVRA
feature race is something I never thought I would do. =0A=
    Then the track got
a little slick from rain and I backed off a bit=2C I =0A=
    will never be a brave
rain driver. Too much to lose=2C nothing to gain. =0A=
    Still finished well=2C no
complaints there.

There was less attrition =0A=
    than I expected over the course of the weekend=2C
at least until Sunday. It =0A=
    was nice to spend time with our friends
sitting on chairs with a beer in =0A=
    hand=2C not under cars requesting
wrenches and sockets.=20

Many big =0A=
    names in our sport were there=2C both past and present=2C and
getting face =0A=
    time with them was a real treat.=20

Congrats to Tony Garmey on winning =0A=
    the Kastner Cup. This was the third
time I have seen the TR250K on track=2C =0A=
    it was always fast. This weekend
it was amazing. During Kas' presentation =0A=
    of the cup=2C he said he has not
seen the car go as fast since he ran it at =0A=
    Sebring in '68. He then
issued a manufacturers recall notice=2C but I think =0A=
    Tony is going to take
his chances!

Congrats to Larry Young for the =0A=
    Bill Ames Award=2C well deserved.=20

The Western PA Triumph gang was =0A=
    there in force=2C as was a big contingent
of New England Triumph folks. Bob =0A=
    Lang brought Khartu=2C his TR6
autocrosser for the folks to enjoy. Dave =0A=
    Hutchinson drove his pristine
Italia. If I continue to try to mention all =0A=
    the special cars that came
out to support the event I would miss several=2C =0A=
    I don't want to do that.

Many thanks to Jack Woehrle and the rest of =0A=
    SVRA for treating us Triumph
folks better than we deserved. Jack was =0A=
    never too far from the Triumph
ghetto=2C and made sure we got what we =0A=
    needed.

So=2C it was a great weekend=2C sorry if you missed it... Where =0A=
    to next
year?
