Sounds like a lot of stuff. An accusump serves three purposes--pre- 
lubricates the engine prior to starting, keeps oil pressure above some  
minimum, and provides pressure for shutdown in the event of a problem  
in the oil delivery system. It's not there to increase oil flow, you  
do that in other ways, either by raising pressure or by enlarging the  
oil passage that you want more flow from. As far as i can see on TR3/4  
motors the only place we really need to worry about those three things  
is crank bearings--mains and rods. The rest of the stuff gets adequate  
oil for the most part and can get by on residual oil during an  
emergency. Our expensive crankshaft's can't.

All due respect to Sam, it sounds more like he's talking about keeping  
an engine together for a race than having one last a season or more.

I like things to be as simple as they can be AND NO MORE. Directly  
connecting an accumulator to the oil gallery seems to make my engines  
last and last. The motor in Peyote lasted an entire season, and then  
went on the all aluminum tour. It was still running fine when Garmey  
rebuilt it.

If you can do something like that with a clean, light, unencumbered  
solution versus something that might be initially easier to do but is  
both more complicated and less reliable, then I'd always bite the  
bullet and go for simple and reliable.
