Chris,

My street TR8 had a heating problem that I discovered was caused by a =
bad gasket at the water pump. The PO had installed a new pump but the =
gasket did not have a hole for the bypass line. It always ran hot and =
coolant would blow past the cap. Also, there were a bunch of pumps made =
overseas that did not even have the bypass hole cast into the pump. =
Maybe you have this situation, too?

The cap is a 23 psi cap.

I have an expansion tank which is plumbed at the sucktion side of the =
lower pump hose and has a 2nd connection at the top of the radiator to =
remove air from the system.

I don=E2=80=99t understand the air flow question. The car has an inlet =
on front, and an airbox around the radiator to force the air through.

questions.=20

What pressure are you running?

Do you have a pressurized expansion tank plumed into the system that =
takes water from the back of one of the heads then recirculates to the =
pump?

What kind of air flow are you getting through the radiator?
