 If you're using a clutch PP from XXX, and a custom racing disc from YYY, t=
hose are the "correct" parts.If you're using a complete off-the-shelf clutc=
h kit, there should be absolutely no adjustment/shimming required.Realize a=
lso that we're not "spacing" the PP out any distance, the most I've had to =
do is shim under .030, usually considerably less.The PP is just a big bellv=
ille washer that compresses axially with increasing pressure produced (clam=
ping force) as it's compressed, up until the overcenter point, and the pivo=
t points which determine the arm length ratio result in little travel in th=
e plate (ie shimming it) and a lot on the TO bearing contact end.
In other words the shim required is usually pretty thin, it's almost a matt=
er of fine-tuning a given combination, not to correct another problem...

 clutch disc. As I tightened the PP the fingers ended up pretty much flat a=
cross, no longer peaked.
 So when the hydraulics is engaged the throw out will press the clutch fing=
ers deflecting inward (invert from when on the bench). Makes me uncomfortab=
le / doesn't seem right.&nbsp;</span></div>
