Bob,
I had the same issue =E2=80=94 a permanently mounted lift was going to be=
 in the way a lot of the time. =C2=A0I ended up with a 6000-lb. capacity =
single-post lift that can be moved around. =C2=A0I drive in, put the lift=
 arms in place, pump the jack (it has a long handle like a pallet jack on=
 one end) to raise the base of the lift off the ground and then move the =
car wherever I need it. =C2=A0Like this one, only the cost was a lot lowe=
