 yeah, but....
You still need to compress caliper piston, thus displacing the fluid in the=
 caliper back toward the master cylinder and reservoir ...also too ,,on com=
bination disk/drum systems, there is a "proportioning valve" ...to avoid ba=
ck pressuring/overfilling reservoir/mucking up the proportioning valve, I b=
leed excess fluid at caliper ..
Maybe overkill but ..YMMV

All the caliper change directions I have seen advise to prefill/pre bleed c=
aliper before fitting

Heat? ...Use a CO2 extinguisher (you do have a current certified one in you=
r shop) ...I do
change pads .. c clamp to press piston back into caliper (use a large screw=
driver/pry bar if you are changing pads/rotors)fluid will flow back into re=
servoir ...If you don't want the crud from the caliper back into the system=
, crack the bleeder valve..ditto for changing rotors=20

Remove 2 pins to change pads//remove 2 bolts to change rotors/pads
suspend "caliper" from ? to avoid kinking/twisting flex line
remove/replace rotors ..
remove/replace pads ..
