You should be able to judge if the callipers are apply even pressure to the
disk by the wear pattern on each side of the disk. If the wear is even and
the surfaces look very similar likely the pads are not seized. Don't rule
out air in the brake line. Are the flex hoses rubber or stainless steel
braid? You may have a flex hose that is expanding due to pressure in the
brake line.

but it's probably been 20 years since I rebuilt the calipers.

Flex lines are only a couple years old, and the hard lines are fairly 
fresh cupro-nickel. You got me thinking, though, the RF hard line may 
have a slight kink (they're both coiled). I'll check it out.
