Hi Richard,  the radiator has to be removed, which isn't that difficult, to=
 change the pump. I  find it easier to remove the fan before removing the r=
ad but that isn't essential.

    I discover now that the water pump of my Bj8 has, after 145k miles, dev=
eloped a leak. Other than removing fan and radiator, does the grill have to=
 be removed to access the pump for removal. I pray all can be done with the=
 engine in the car. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.......rich ant=
