Thanks to all who answered my question about distributor removal from my
late TD. After removal of the nut on the tighening clamp at the base of
the distributor, I then tapped inward on the bolt which loosened it. The
distributor was still immovable, but with light upward tapping from below
using a wooden dowel, the beast was freed and I was able to lift it out.
