I think a word of warning is needed here.  The reason you lift only one
rear wheel is that it won't work if both rear wheels are off the
ground--turning one forward will turn the other backward, leaving the
engine contentedly unmoved.  If one wheel is held, turning the other can
turn the engine, or just possibly it will turn the other wheel backward
and back the car off the jack.  I would definitely remove the plugs, and
block the car *very* thoroughly. Just to be on the safe side, make very
darn sure no part of you or your Maine Coon cat is under the car when you
try this.
