John,
I'm a bit confused. The imperial gallon is, I believe, larger than the
US gallon. If this is the case then the, let's say that the imperial gallon is
5
quarts while the US is 4 quarts. A figure of 32 miles per imperial gallon
would be 4/5 times 32 or 25.6 miles per US gallon.
