There is a way to test the module on the car.  This is out of the
Crane instructions:  Disconnect the plug between the distributor and the
module.  Disconnect the coil hi-tension lead from the distributor and
place it ~3/8" from ground.  Turn on the ignition switch and rapidly tap
(to simulate pulses) a screwdriver blade between the white and grey
wires on the plug attached to the cable leading to the module.  Tapping
screwdriver should cause the coil to fire.  If it doesn't, the module
_could_ be bad.  Check for power to the module (coil +), loose wires,,
corroded connections, etc...
