Hi,

my MGB is a daily driver, which means that any job I do on it must be
completed in one day (or at most two) over the weekend. I do the work away
from my apartment, so not only do I need it to commute to work, but I need
it to drive back to my apartment after working on it.

Right now it is running but I have taken the heater box out. I had recently
had the radiator cleaned and repaired (turned out to be 20% blocked), so I
thought I'd do the heater core (turned out to be 70% blocked). Pulling the
heater box out is easy, a rubber seal sits between the heater box flange and
the bulkhead, right? Except the DPO had glued it in place with some kind of
mastic!! Took me 2 hours to soften it and ease the box out of the car.
Grrr. This weekend's job is to clean the box and bulkhead of the remaining
'stuff', reassemble and install (using a rubber gasket, which the DPO gave
me, in a box with other spares...). I put a piece of pipe bypassing the
heater core so I can drive it around in the meantime.
