Having My B as a daily driver, my insurance Co (Classic Specialist) insists I
fit and Immobiliser to my car, or it is not covvered by theft. What it does, is
isolate the coil battery and starter, and wont connect them together unless it
is deactivated. The deacitation is simple, it is a matter of pluging in a key
(looks like a headphone jack), then unplugging before you start the car. It
seems to work. All in all seems to work for my car, and is simple to use.
Would recomend any day as most people ignore car alarms, the wiring is
unobtrusive, the plug just gets attached to the support bar under the dash, and
most importantly means it is almost impossible to hot wire the car. Seems like
the best AUD200.00 ive spent protecting my car.
