Has anyone tried both methods of filling the steering rack in order to tell
us which one they think may be better? I've never done the syringe/steering
boot method. I've always used the damper hole method. I remove the cover
and the damper part, then just add the gear oil. It can be a little messy
since I add the gear oil from a plastic hose dangling down from the
radiator. But its easy to tell when its full.
