Well, Here is the story as it unfolds. I took the car in and the Front
intake manifold gasket seal is leaking heavily and there is a leak in the
back of the engine where they use to put distributors. Of all the work I
have done on cars this is not a normal leak. He quoted 6 hours labor, at
$60 and hour, and about $70 for parts (thats one pretty expensive gasket!)
bringing the total to $430 before tax. But since I am such a valued
customer (B******t) He said they would do it for $250. I am not happy
with this, but I don't imagine I will get any better. I don't have the
time to fix it myself, so I will probably end up paying the *** $250. I
was so mad I almost went out and just bought a new car last night - mine
that would not of been good. Moral of the story: I don't care what
warranty or service you get or are promised when you buy a vehicle, it is
only as good as the people behind. In this case I would have to say pretty
piss poor.
Not happy, but living with it.
