Well, I finished stripping my parts Spitfire - quite a fun project, and
thanks to everyone who contributed advice about how to get things apart. I
ended up not bothering to take the tub off the chassis. I was surprised
given the horribly rusty state of things that everything came apart quite
easily. I did use copious amounts of PB Blaster. I didn't break a single
bolt off.
Now my question, what should I do to store the 1500 engine? It is in a
heated garage, and I plan to make a little "cradle" on casters so it can be
easily moved around, but what else should I do?
