Paul,

Volume 1 Issue 4 of the Spitfire and GT6 magazine has an article on the
transmission rebuild. I haven't read it yet a I just received the magazine (new
subscriber). My local club, Toronto Triumph Club, also has an article in their
current magazine, Ragtop, with a twist. It tells you how to put things back
together using your refrigerator and oven (cold things shrink, hot things
expand, bearing slide into position etc.). I think this was re-printed with
permission from another club magazine.

I'll be ripping mine open on the weekend, mainly to replace the synchros. I
bought the rebuild kit from Rimmers. Since I haven't done this tranny before
(familiar with a Sprite tranny 30+ years ago), I can't be of more help.

BTW, Haynes has a reasonable description on rebuilding the tranny although I've
heard that they forgot to include a picture of first gear during the assembly.
