Speed addiction is something I understand only too well, and I've found
that driving a Spitfire has cured it.   You see, my speed addiction
requires the *feeling* of going fast, rather than the actuality.
Driving a Spitfire on country roads at 60 mph is a damn sight more
thrilling than sitting in a jet-liner going many hundreds of miles an
hour - or driving an executive car at 130.
