  You are right I was refering to the portion of the harness that I made.
  The wiring for the switch was already in place on my car.  I
  made was the section that connects the power going through the lock out
  switch and solenoid.  I used the 12 gauge because I was worry about losses
  in the wiring.  If you measure the voltage going to the solenoid it can
  range from 12-10V.

  The wires for the shifter switch should be very flexible because it 
  really gets crunch up under the siwtch.  I hope I haven't confused the
  issues and have answered some of Kevin's questions.
