We're just replaced our floor pans on both the drivers and the passenger side
of the GT6, so I feel compelled to reply to this.

You're dealing with a strip along one side plus holes in the middle.
In this case, I'd never consider a patch-up job, instead have a new floor
panel installed. You may not need a show car, but you need a safe car.
I would also check out the sills carefully, because rusty floors usually go
hand in hand with rusty sills and you need to weld the floors to solid sheet
metal
in this area. For any body repair we use 20 gauge, satin covered, sheet metal
which is easily available at specialty stores. Don't know the San Francisco
Area.

I'm having some repairs made to my floor pans. It's not a complete
replacement situation, just a strip along one the side. The bulk of the
floor poanel is in OK condition so I'm thinking this will be a easier route
than complete replacement. The middle of the pan has thinned out somewhat
and has some rust holes but is probably salvageable. My questions are: - am
