I concur with Herb (not ganging up on you Frank, we are humbled by your
expertise! :)  )

On page 25 of Horler's book, "Original Sprite & Midget", the caption beneath
the picutre reads, "The hood (top) frame .......in the stowed position in the
lower location boxes beneath the matting. ...."

These boxes were simple metal items that screw into the heel-board with
self-tapping screws. The top screw also attached a rubber buffer, as Herb
stated, to help prevent rattling.  I had to bore a hole in the Hardura mat with
a cork borer (borrowed from the Chem Dept.) so the hood frame would fit in the
boxes.
