Hi Larry,
It takes about 45 minutes to drain the oil, remove the sump and undo
the bearing caps to inspect the shells, which are the most likely bits
to shed metal into the oil.
You may be lucky and find that then crank is OK, in which case you can
fit new shells, and use flushing oil to clear out any debris.
All this can be done with the engine in position, only the front crank
bearing is difficult to do, and even that is possible without removing
the engine if you just remove the bottom two timing chain cover
screws.

OTOH you might find the crank is badly scored ... .... ... ....
