Ditto, my car was a mouse hotel in a barn for a couple of years. They
stripped a couple of wires and packed it along with the carpet into the
fender and cowling wells. Needless to say that is where my car is rusted
out.

I didn't exactly throw out my wiring harness, it was eaten. I am in the
process
of deciding how best to fix it.
