I suggest that you avoid 495 around DC. Stay on I-95 and pick up the
Washington-Baltimore Parkway between DC and Baltimore. I think it is also
route 295 (not I-295). W-B Pkwy is east of I-95 and is usually a much nicer
drive. It's been years since I've been down there, so construction may make
this entire post moot.
