There's no excuse for a lack of communication and I wasn't trying to 
defend her.

I just didn't know if you or others knew of the in transit time for 
surface mail from the old country.

It seems pretty consistent at 6 weeks.

What I find odd is mailing time from Canada. Sometimes it seems to take 
several weeks.
