Brad,

Give it up man!!  I've got 2 really top quality ones - Akai and Uher - both
are nearly studio quality 16 tracks. You can still get tape for them, but
its getting very hard to find and it is really expensive!  My tape
collection from the 1960's is all nearly useless due to oxidation so
I never use the tape decks any more...   Why would I? CD's give much
better quality with no tape hiss if you are recording, and why would
I record on tape that I now know will be usless in 40 years time due to
oxidation of the coating?
