I'm not entering the Mac vs. Windows fray (I'm a Linux guy, and quite
happy with it). Initially, I read that the Intel Macs were going to
have a custom BIOS, that would preclude running Windows. Someone would
eventually get it done, of course. On Friday, I read that it may be
doable: http://www.apcmag.com/apc/v3.nsf/0/64E7EA353646669ECA2570F50012430B
Unless you can dual boot, I really don't see the reason to run Windows
on the more expensive , more 'custom' hardware that Macs usually use.
Deep down, Apple is a boutique hardware maker, the OS is just to help
sell the hardware. With the absence of clones, they can very tightly
control what works. There will undoubtedly be _many_ hardware
compatibility issues for running Windows on the otherwise Mac
hardware. It takes more than an Intel CPU to make it Windows
compatible, I would hazard a guess. Windows will very easily not have
a driver for most of the hardware.

Dual or triple-booting OSX/Windows/Linux would be cool, however, and
give many a first taste of different operating systems without having
to have space for multiple machines, if you didn't want to. If you
just want to run Windows, you can pick out much better hardware for
the price.
