Hey Brad,

>From your response to my (I thought fairly innocuous) posting I
conclude that you are one of the very well hidden and oh so silent
TE/AE officers? Make no mistake about it, Brad, I have no bone to
pick with the membership of TE/AE (of which I am one), I hope we all
live long and prosper. But I do believe that the leadership of TE/AE
has "screwed" and is continuing to "screw" the membership on a daily
basis.

Shades of Craig Killborn, Brad wants to play three questions!

> Did you ask for your money back? <
No, I did not. Who does one ask this of? There is certainly no
provision in the club bylaws for this and, in fact, the bylaws
specifically state that dues can't be returned. Have you changed the
bylaws or simply decided to ignore them? Are you suggesting that the
many, many people who are very disturbed by the way the club is being
operated (or, if you prefer, "non-operated") should all demand their
money back instead of just trying to find out whatinell is going on
and fix the problem? Seems counter-productive to me, Brad.

> Have you ever tried to run a club and keep a news letter current? <
I suspect that herein lies the crux of the TE/AE problem. No one
individual runs a club, at least not for long. Clubs are run by
groups. Groups are Mother Nature's way of disguising and compensating
for incompetence. To answer the question you probably meant to ask, I
have been (and am currently) involved in a number of clubs and have
held a number of offices including President, VP, Secretary, and
Treasurer. I have also put out a number of newsletters. I have
certainly managed to get a newsletter out each and every time it was
due to go out. I have certainly answered each and every question that
was posed to me by a member.

> Was everyone happy with you, the club, and the newsletter? <
Thank God, no. How is it possible for everyone to be happy with
anything or anyone? If you think this is even possible, I suggest you
know nothing about the dynamics of clubs. But have I ever been
involved in a situation where the club leadership just decided not to
publish a newsletter? Have I ever been involved in a situation where
the club leadership just decided not to answer the mail? No, Brad, I
have not.

So here are FIVE questions for you, Brad:
1. Why has the TE/AE leadership abdicated their responsibility to run
the club for the benefit of the membership?
2. When (what date) will the newsletter again be published and mailed
(none of this "Well, it's at the printers" bull allowed)?
3. Why has the club leadership refused to address these issues
publicly?
4. When did you give up and join the "Oooohhhh! Lets don't rock the
boat" group?
5. If you didn't like my previous post on the subject of TE/AE
inactivity, why on earth did you challenge me to answer your questions
publicly?

Incidentally, I know that there are some TE/AE officers and board
members who are working to put things back on track and I thank them.
Because of them I am filled with new confidence that something will be
accomplished but it will probably not be a pretty process. And it is
you "hear no evil, see no evil, say no evil" guys who will be largely
responsible for the ugliness.
