Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could clarify a few things about the Tigers for
me, since I am a new owner of a 65 MK1 Tiger.

What are the unique parts used on the engine?

I believe I have heard it mentioned that the timing cover is unique, plus
possibly the water pump and the dipstick.

Are these items truly unique or is there interchange with other Ford
products possible.

For instance, is the timing cover used on another vehicle or would just
about any early 60's ford SB timing cover work?

Is the dipstick unique because of the generator, and would be the same as
other Ford generator driven SB?

Any other gotchas that I need to know about?

The car currently has a 5 bolt 289 in it, and the stock 260 motor on a
stand.

Would like to think about rebuilding the stock engine, but wanted to
understand the uniqueness of the Tiger setup before I start anything.

Thanks,
Steve
