How long has it been since you've changed flexible brake lines? 

They can swell internally with age, restricting fluid flow back when you take
your foot off the pedal. There's a lot more pressure forcing brake fluid into
the calipers than there is pushing back, i.e. none!

After you step on the brakes a few times the calipers get "pumped up",
keeping the brakes applied. After a 30 minute wait the pressure will
gradually bleed back, releasing pad pressure.

Could be the problem.
