The answer may be that the gearing in the TR6 distributor is different
than the Stag. The trick would be matching the gearing, perhaps
through an inline gear reduction unit. An acquaintance of mine had
such a unit installed on his TR6, to allow him to use his
non-overdrive speedo with an overdrive 'box. He told me a shop that
does speedo/tach calibrating did the work.
