John,

You said Northern California. That's a pretty large area! But if you are
near San Jose I would recommend Peniman and Richards on North
First St. San Jose.

I used them for the machine work on my TR3A. They boiled out the
block, removed and installed the new cam bearings, reground the
crank 10 under, checked the rods for straightnes, resurfaced and
reground all of the cam followers and the cam shaft, installed the
rods and gudgeon pins on my new 87 mm pistons, and lapped the
new wet liners. They also resurfaced the flywheel, the cylinder
head, reground the valves, installed hardened seats, and installed
new bushes in the rockers and installed the rocker assembly on new
rocker shafts.

Unfortunately I haven't started the engine yet, but I was pleased with
their work and prices. They always tryed to do"best work" for "least
money". I had used them in a previous life when I had a shop of my
own.

No financial interest in their company, etc. etc.
