        One of the CITOA's members wrote an article about rebuilding these
        pumps... It's rather involved. If you want I'll see if I can dig 
        up a copy that was printed in the newsletter... 

        The original was over a dozen hand written pages with illustrations.

        As newsletter editor, my job was to type it up (whew! not fun 
        or easy). Publishing it took two issues! I think the VTR may have 
        even run the article in the VINTAGE TRIUMPH. 

        It seemed like gilding the lily to me. If you simply MUST HAVE 
        have the grease nipple, why not drill a blind hole in the pump 
        body at the appropriate location on the casting and epoxy one in?

        There's a good reason the design was changed. It wasn't just 
        "cheaper" to build a pump with sealed bearings...
