I finally got my 79 spit up to speed on the hiway this morning, and it did
the same sort of thing. At about 67 it would start to miss and it would
fall on its face if I punched it. Ran fine around town. The paint marks
on the distributer hadn't moved either (a little plumbers tape helped) but
the timing could still be off a little bit. I don't mind trying an
electric pump (carb is rebuilt and new filters all around), but what psi
and flow rate is the original pump supposed to be at? I guess I better
double check the dwell when I get a chance also.
