I have original Lucas H4 lamps with 55/100 watt bulbs in my TR-4, and they are
fantastic if you live in a rural area and like to drive fast on country roads at
night.  You can easily see 3-5 times farther than with stock sealed beams.  I 
used to
have these in my '6 with stock wiring and didn't have any electrical meltdown
problems.  Now in the '4, I have a 106 amp alternator and a full custom harness 
with
relays on the lamps.
