It is self-adjusting for one. The operation is also generally quite a bit
more smoother than cable based designs, which often becomes somewhat jerky
with time. In my experience, it also lasts longer. It might even be slightly
easier to adapt for LHD and RHD. 

The greatest advantage, however, is that it gives the LBC owner one more
thing to maintain and tinker with, which is the point of the entire exercise,
after all.
