Geeeez.....I had a '75 Vega....the nightmares are flooding back.....we had it
for 4 long and trouble ridden years until a drunk driver totaled it and no
doubt saved us countless more headaches and money....imagine designing a
timing belt of all rubber - no fibers, no steel threads....all rubber like a
fan belt....not a lot of fun when it failed on the turnpike in winter with
wind and snow/rain mix made worse by passing 18 wheelers blowing the front
hinged hood off it's prop rod onto my head.....that day I actually wished I
had taken my MGB to work!!!
