I restored my TR3 using the TRF nuts and cages. The nuts are 1/4 x 28,
but are slightly smaller across the flats than the originals, making the
use of the new cages beneficial since they're made to fit the new nuts.
Can't say that I tried mixing the old with the new. If I needed a new
nut, it was easier to change the pair. The old and new are so close, I
defy you to tell the difference, once installed.

Also used the screws, 1/4 x 28, to secure the rear wings along the
inside of the boot. They are a perfect replacement for the originals.
Also got them from TRF. Have purchased these parts over the years and
have never received anything but 1/4 x 28.

Why not call their 800 number and confirm what being supplied today?? Or
Moss too, for that matter.
