Check the generator mounting bolts. If one is missing or real loose the
generator can cock and reduce the belt life.
The TRs take an extra thick belt I have never seen in an auto store
(Except as a TR3-4A and Morgan fan belt). It is always helpful to have a
new one in the boot.
With everything aligned and the proper tension the TR belt should last as
long as any other fan belt.
