If there's one in your area, check out your local Harbor Freight store.
Mine sells single impact sockets for $1 - $2 each.  Of course, you won't be
using them with an impact tool, but they work just fine with an extension
and ratchet, too, at least in areas like the steering hub where there's
plenty of clearance around the nut.
