<I've decided to get a cockpit cover sold by moss #237-800 as it will
keep the inside of the car dry if it should rain while it is parked. A
tonneau looks great, but a PITA to put on and won't keep any but the
lightest
rain out.>
I have to disagree. I have installed several tonneaus over the years and
once you get the idea of what's going on it's not to hard to install.
Having said that getting a Sunfast cloth is much better for installation and
wear than a vinyl. As far as keeping rain out, I think the tonneau will do
a much better job than the cockpit cover. It's just a car cover cut small,
and is not designed to be waterproof only water resistant. I have had my car
outside in heavy rain with just the tonneau and it has kept all the rain
out. In fact it may be drier than with the top up!
