I did remove the head nut to install the lifting eye...no troubles!

I am, of course in the middle of a complete engine rebuild, but removing the
nut did not cause the spun bearing and receded valves...

Cheers,

65 TR4A - block and crank back from the machine shop...it's time to
assemble!

Is it really bad idea to remove one head bolt (rear, next to the heater
valve), install the bracket, and re-torque? I'm planning NO engine work so
the head will not otherwise be removed. Can I get away with this or am I
asking for trouble? Engine won't be started for quite some time...maybe
between now and then, it'll forget that I loosened the bolt? :^)
