FWIW, I tried this years ago on the TR3 (as you say, out of curiosity). Ever

the scene in the movie "Giant" when James Dean's oil well comes in? -- it was
kinda like that.
I'll be interested in other's experience (can't imagine we're the only two
foolish enough to try this).
