Yeah they are pure magnesium as all of the orig Silverstones were. And were
never strictly street legal for that reason. The modern day repos are alloy.
Weight and appearance wise the differences are striking.


Dean :

Powdercoating will definitely work, and is quite tough and long lasting
(although it is possible to chip it).

Don't know about anodizing magnesium, but I wouldn't think it would
work.  Aluminum oxide is ruby, while magnesium oxide is the pricipal
ingredient in milk of magnesia ...

Are you sure your wheels are pure magnesium, and not a magnesium alloy ?
