Patrick,

Lucas electricals being what they are I installed an auxiliary wiring system 
for the stereo on 
my '76 TR6.  I installed the stereo according to the manufacturer's 
instructions for a direct to 
battery hook-up.  I by-passed the ignition switch completely.  The system is 
switched off and 
on at the head (radio).  The head controls all other parts of the system 
(amps).  There is 
really a wonderful amount of room for a nice system in a TR6.  Email me if you

details.
