OTOH -- when I put my TR3 back together after having it apart for about a year
the tach cable was not long enough.  Same tach, drive & cable all worked fine
before.

Had to make a little square piece that I dropped into the dizzy drive to keep 
the
cable from going in as far, otherwise there would not be enough to engage the
tach.
