I believe that would be American Standard, they've been making bathroom
fittings for many years (including one of my toilets) and using that name
since 1948.

But that doesn't necessarily mean they have the right to sell automobiles
under the Standard name. At least under US law, it's possible for two
separate companies to have the same name, as long as there is no possibility
of confusion. Hence there was no problem with having both Triumph motorcars
and Triumph motorcycles (not to mention Triumph brassieres <g>), made by
separate companies.
