I don't have specific information on other retailers, but if you live
near a
Harbor Freight retail store and want something that was on sale last
week/month/year you should try asking for a discount.
I used to work for them and very few of the sale prices are less than
their
cost. The name of the game for HF is VOLUME, so the managers do have
some
latitude on pricing and can adjust the cost downwards if they choose.
Try this; next time you want something at Harbor Freight go to the store
on
a Tuesday morning (or some other time when traffic is light and the
manager
is liable to be there), ask for the manager and tell them you want the
item
for the sale price they had last week/month/year. If they can, usually
they
will. Rather make the sale and lower inventory.... The central office
expects them to move product!!!!!
Never pay retail, if they won't make the deal just wait a few weeks. It
will
probably go on sale again.
