Hello:
I'm trying to find out what octane gas I should be running in my
1960 TR3A. The spec for the TR3A is that it has 8.5:1 compression.
I've tried to find a table that relates the engine compression to the
recommended octane of gas to use, but have only ended up
finding out about how all sorts of variables (humidity, altitude, etc.)
can affect what octane one should use.
So far, I've always used premium. However, if the car doesn't need it
that's just wasted money.
What is the wisdom of the list?
